To balance out my very-long previous post, this one will simply note that I recently encountered a new term for jar handles: "grip-arm".
The examples currently listed on eBay by the dealer who apparently coined the term, are simply the standard long Greek ones (similar to the ones on my whole jar shown on the export permit in my ASOR Blog post, though mine look short in that photo due to it being distorted to fit into the permit cell). They were allegedly found in Olbia (modern Ukraine), which was a Greek colony.
