God Bless Sarah America

After her tremendous speech Wednesday night, Sarah Palin made me think (among other things) about Biblical Queen Esther, which in turn prompted me to think of the Hebrew word for "queen". I thought it was either MLKE or MLKT, or something with "MLK" in it, but I was surprised to find 3 words translated into "queen". One was indeed MLKE/MLKT (same basic root; Strong's #4436), & the other 2 were SGL (#7694) and ...

"Her wise ladies answered her, yea, she returned answer to herself...""--Judges 5:29

"And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart."--1Kings 11:3

"Likewise shall the ladies of Persia and Media say this day unto all the king's princes, which have heard of the deed of the queen."--Esther 1:18

"And kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers: they shall bow down to thee with their face toward the earth, and lick up the dust of thy feet; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD: for they shall not be ashamed that wait for Me."--Isaiah 49:23

"She that was great among the nations, and princess among the provinces, how is she become tributary!"--Lamentations 1:1

Strong's #8282 sarah {saw-raw'} from 08269; TWOT - 2295b; n f
AV - lady 2, princess 2, queen 1
1) princess, noblewoman, noble lady

Indeed! Talk about serendipity ... or in this case, sarah-dipity!!!

"I accept the call to help our nominee for president to serve and defend America. I accept the challenge of a tough fight in this election against confident opponents at a crucial hour for our country. ... To the families of special-needs children all across this country, I have a message: For years, you sought to make America a more welcoming place for your sons and daughters. I pledge to you that if we are elected, you will have a friend and advocate in the White House."--Sarah Palin, 2008-Sep-3

As humans formed in God's image, we are obligated to respect God's creation including the miracles of conception, prenatal development, & childbirth (all obviously designed by God). We are all "special-needs children" in this sin-cursed world, even moreso now that abortions, homosexuality, & atheism have become things of respect, rather than things of disdain.

We who worship God & care about the future of America's culture need to reform our public schools so that children can be inspired & encouraged to think freely ... not force-fed a single perspective on biological origins, & that kind of positive change will not be the product of an Obamanation.

Though our ultimate Advocate is our risen Savior, it would be nice to have one in a very high place within our temporal government. One who doesn't just claim to be a Christian, but one through whom Christ actually lives!

God has truly blessed America with this noble lady, Sarah Palin! We have not been ashamed for having waited...

Last week I couldn't make up my mind which side of my car's bumper I should put my new sticker on. I fixed that by designing a new one!

Why should God bless America? Why don't you say God bless the world? Are you worrying that other people you don't like get blessed by accidient? If the world is designed by God, it's a bad design. Wake up~ There is no God.

America was founded primarily by people seeking freedom from religious oppression so that they could worship God in what they believed to be the right way. That's a good reason for God to bless America. The traditional phrase of "God bless America" does not include the word "should"; it's merely a plea, a selfish request of sort.

God has blessed the entire world in many ways, but overall, the world is cursed because our common ancestor forfeited the "very good" design that God originally created it as (about 6,000 years ago). When you observe it to be a bad design, it's because you don't understand/believe the record in Genesis, which describes it as being originally created as "very good", but then suffering a global catastrophe including a curse of death. Death was not God's intention, but a consequence chosen by somebody else (our unfaithful ancestor).

Wake up & realize that no one can prove or disprove God exists. I respect your opinion that there is no God, but I doubt you've examined the entire universe, & whatever exists beyond our known universe. I would encourage you to at least visit another planet outside of our solar system before finalizing your opinion. Send me a postcard.

God has blessed the entire world in mnay ways? like the tsunami? like the wars? like aids? well.. I rather not have the bless. Since you said that no one can prove or disprove God exists, i assume you never learn logic. but.. not many people do.. the fact is yes, you cna prove god does not exist. and of course, i have not examined the whole universe, we have no idea how big the universe is, and that's not important.. because we don't need to go that far to know there is no god, we can know that in our head, in our world, because that's all we have. oh.. if you want a post card, give me your address.

Ps. I enjoy talking about this stuff. if this bother you, just let me know. ok?

It doesn't bother me, but I'd prefer to talk about it with someone who's intelligent enough to know that no one can prove or disprove God exists ... someone who knows the difference between "prove" & "know" (which in your case is actually "believe", but you're obviously not smart enough to "know" the difference).

Ah… prove and know… I know you will have problem with that since that’s the problem with “faith”. Of course you need to think there is a different between prove and know, because you know something that can’t be proven and it’s interesting you mention about intelligence, (such a Christian like you can’t stay way from personal attack?) but the fact is, that the most intelligent people are the ones rejecting the idea of god. The thing I am sure is that if you have any intelligence, it has nothing to do with your faith. So, if you want to bring out the topic of intelligence, you are not really talking about your god. Come on~ Let’s have a good debate, not like kids calling each other stupid. I hope you can do better than you did.

Pointing out that you made an irrational statement is not a personal attack. I don't know enough about you to attack your person. All I have are the irrational statements you've posted here, which demonstrate a profound philosophical immaturity on your part.

I said I respect your opinion that there's no God, but I don't respect your arrogant assertions that we can "know" there is no God, & that "most intelligent people" reject God. It's one thing to act as if you know the entire universe inside & out, but it's a whole 'nother level of arrogance to assume you know the minds of "most intelligent people".

I wouldn't call you a stupid kid since children have their young age as a legitimate excuse, but assuming that you're an adult (which would be quite generous of me), you are definitely a classical atheist.

Um, you are just like the classic Christian says that you don’t do personal attack but you call me a kid. Well… I guess it’s hard for you to do a fair argument, but I will try here to help you out with your “philosophical” points.
Why do I have to know the universe inside out to tell you that there is no god? What does it have to do with the universe? If you are talking about there might be some other lives in other plants. I totally agree with you on that. By saying that you can prove or disprove the existent of god is like saying you can prove or disprove the existent of the Almond monster. Now, should we believe in almond monster? Did I hurt your feelings when I said the fact that the most intelligent people reject God? I know truth hurts, and I understand you don’t want to accept it but it is totally ok with me. I just hope you have better argument, like it is called faith or something.
You called yourself Christian, but the way you talk is not like a Christian. If all we have is the Christian like you, why the hell we need religion? You can keep calling me kid, but I hope whoever read this knows who is the real kid~

That's about what I'd expect from someone as illogical as you. First you, yourself, said we shouldn't be like "kids"; then I said I would NOT call you a "kid"; then you not only accuse me of calling you a "kid", but then equate name-calling with a "classic Christian". Congratulations on demonstrating yourself to be a classic Christian according to your logic!

And not only did you end up demonstrating the opposite of what you intended, but in your 2nd paragraph, you again demonstrated your short memory & jumbled logic. Nowhere did I say you "can prove or disprove" the existence of God; I said just the opposite (twice).

I've spent about all the time I care to in conversation with you since you're illogical, you've misquoted me, your grammar is atrocious, & most importantly, you're an embarrassment to the minority of intelligent/reasonable atheists, whom I respect.

Feel free to post more brilliant demonstrations of your intellectual abilities for the amusement of the 2 or 3 other people who read this blog.

WOW! Nothing but personal attacks. Can you do any better? If you want to get dirty, we shall. This is fun to me anyways!!
I said we should not be like kids, and you said that “I wouldn't call you a stupid kid…” which means that you wanted to call me a stupid kid but you are too chicken to say so… which is ok with me. And I called you classical Christian after you called me classical atheist… and I don’t see any logic problem there. So I guess you are the one who is having logic problem. I really think you should learn some real logic. Not kidding!
I don’t understand what you are saying after that, I might mistype which I agreed. You said that you can’t prove or disprove the existence of god and I said you can’t prove of disprove the existence of almond monster. So, should we go on believe there are almond monsters? I don’t see you answer that. Well, of course not, because the only thing you can do is personal attack. Again, I understand. Well, I am a rookie! I am new to the Atheist. I don’t mind if you call me the “embarrassment”. I really don’t. Because I know that the embarrassment is good enough to ask you questions you can’t answer and make you do nothing but personal attack. Come on! Focus on the arguments. Can you do that?

"Your comment has been saved and will be visible after blog owner approval." Are you too chicken to let people say whatever they want to say? you have to look at it first? People post things here because god wants them to.

Hello~ Maybe I was being mean or a stupid kid, but I have to admit to you that I was looking for fights. I thought I was doing like a sport but it didn’t turn out like I thought it would be. Good luck to you whatever you are doing and I don’t think I will bother you anymore! I know it’s hard for you to believe, but I did enjoy arguing with you in a positive way. =)
